Last update: August 15, 2024
Boléro Stratégies respects the security and confidentiality of your personal and confidential information and is committed to protecting it and using it only for the necessary and legitimate purposes for which it was collected.
The purpose of this policy is to inform you about our privacy practices. In particular, we want you to know how and for what purposes we collect your personal information and how it is stored and used.
Scope and application
The policy extends to all personal information collected by Boléro Stratégies from the www.bolerostrategies.com site (hereinafter the “Site”) or its other platforms. The policy is subject to the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Bill 25), as well as other applicable legislative and regulatory provisions.
Information we collect and why we collect it
We limit the collection of personal information to that which is necessary for the presentation and delivery of services offered by Boléro Stratégies (training, conferences and events, content and documentation, proposals, surveys, analyses and studies, etc.). This information may also be used to improve the content of our Site, evaluate the interest and popularity of our services, and improve our services and their promotion. With your consent, we may also collect your information to be able to contact you in order to send you more information about our activities, news, services and events. Boléro Stratégies may also seek your consent to use your personal information for other purposes. You may, of course, change or withdraw this consent by writing to us at info@bolerostrategies.com. Boléro Stratégies retains information for a reasonable period of time in order to fulfill the purposes identified at the time of collection or to meet our legal obligations. We establish retention criteria based on the type of information collected and the purpose for which it was collected. Once the identified purposes have been fulfilled and the information is no longer required, or if the individual asks us to delete it, we destroy it or ensure its anonymity in order to protect it from unauthorized access or communication. Thus, we do not disclose your personal information to anyone outside authorized Boléro Stratégies employees without your consent, with the exception of: (1) our suppliers of goods or services whose services have been retained to perform specific tasks on our behalf (examples: IT firm, accounting firm, law firm). In this case, Boléro Stratégies takes the necessary contractual and technological measures to ensure that these suppliers of goods or services process your personal information only for the purposes stipulated in their contract with Boléro Stratégies and offer a degree of protection of personal information comparable or superior to that offered by Boléro Stratégies with respect to personal information in its possession. (2) any entity in the event of a merger or change of control of Boléro Stratégies, in whole or in part, and only if the parties enter into an agreement whereby the collection, use and disclosure of the information are limited to the purposes of the business transaction. (3) any organization, entity or authority authorized by law. (4) any other purpose permitted by law, for example:
- when it is impossible or impractical to obtain consent for legal or security reasons;
- when the information is being collected to detect or prevent fraudulent acts or to enforce the law, and seeking the individual’s consent could frustrate the process;
- if Boléro Stratégie needs to protect its rights and property.

Contractual and technological measures :

All information is stored on a secure cloud solution, protected against access by unauthorized persons and malicious use. Boléro Stratégies also protects the personal information disclosed and retained, as the case may be, by its suppliers as part of their contract with Boléro Stratégies, in order to preserve its confidentiality and limit its use to the purposes for which it was collected. Although Boléro Stratégies prefers to contract with Quebec and Canadian suppliers, some of our service providers may store or process your personal information in a country other than Canada.
